Since the New Year, several of our team members have been invited and/or have attended several industry conferences including; Chapel Hill Carrboro Prime Time Business Expo on February 22, Duke Women’s Initiative on April 11, and Carolina Preserve Vendor Fair on April 11. These events provide us with great opportunities to learn how to better serve our clients.
A Team that Cares
Our firm is committed to not only helping out clients but helping the community around us. Our most recent volunteer efforts include; Blackman & Sloop Team for Big Brothers Big Sisters Nite Ball Bowlathon, Book Harvest at the MLK Event Day, Writers for Readers at the Orange County Literacy Council, Kiwanis of Chapel Hill Pancake Breakfast, Family House of Chapel Hill BBQ and Golf Tournament, American Dance Festival Pre-season Celebration, Sweeps Pageant for Miss North Carolina.
Team Milestones
Our team members have also had some exciting things happen since the beginning of the year. Joan Pharr celebrated her 60th birthday with much fan fare at the office. Megan Miller had her office redecorated with fun confetti for her 30th birthday. Dena Kornegay will be in for some excitement for her birthday when she turns 50 in April!
We have also had our share of new little arrivals! Joe Beaudin and his wife had a baby girl in December, Chris Arena and his wife had a girl this March, Kendra Dannar and her husband are expecting their son within a few weeks and Robin McDuffie is now the proud grandmother of three beautiful granchildren!

Our very own, Neely McLaughlin was featured in the March issue of “Meadowmont Living”, a publication for the residents of Meadowmont. Meadowmont is an inter-connected mixed use community in Chapel Hill.
