Summer is in full swing here at Blackman & Sloop. Here are just a few of the fun things we’ve been up to!
The firm was honored to be named in the Indy Weekly’s annual “Best of the Triangle”. Blackman & Sloop was voted “Best Accountant”
Fun Sponsorships and Firm Activities:
In May, Blackman & Sloop were Tee sponsors for the Chapel Hill Police Department’s 17th Annual Golf Tournament benefiting Special Olympics of North Carolina. We were also proud to be a lunch sponsor for the Add Penfield Memorial Golf Tournament.
During June the firm was auditor for the Miss North Carolina pageant. We also had a team that participated in Trivia Night through the Triangle Literacy Council.
Marriages, Accomplishments and Milestones!
In May, April Walker participated in the Ironman competition in Raleigh. Many in the firm were there to cheer her on!
The firm helped Alesia Walker celebrate her upcoming marriage with a lovely bridal shower.
Jen Lewis began her 40th birthday with some fun and decorations. The firm was excited to celebrate with her.
Joining the firm….
Jeanne Scruggs returned to the firm full time on May 19th. Jeanne had previously helped out during tax season and we are thrilled to have her back as a full time team member!
We’re also excited to welcome Dauer Lewis! He recently graduated from North Carolina State University with a Masters in Accounting and joined our team full time on June 16th.
