As summer comes to a close, we’d like to give you an update on what’s been happening in the Blackman & Sloop family.

We had 6 new hires this summer:

Jonathan Clark, Recruiting/Marketing Coordinator, started on May 23rd.

 

 

 

 

 

 

In our audit department, we welcome Erin Moultin, Ryan Miller, and Christina Drake.

 

 

 

 

 

 

In our tax department we welcome Alison Merkabah and Tyler Chambers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

B&S employees raised $765 in support of the Susan G. Komen foundation walk-for-the-cure charity race in June.

In June, Blackman & Sloop were the official auditors for the Miss North Carolina Pageant. We all had fun at the pageant!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We celebrated June birthdays with a pot luck lunch on June 15th. Happy birthday to Bill Perrault, Rachel Sutton, Elisa Gover, Jen Lewis, Paige Otos & Jonathan Clark!

Each year, the North Carolina Association of CPAs holds an inauguration dinner. Held at Grandover Resort and Conference Center in Greensboro, this year’s dinner was on June 22nd. Blackman & Sloop was a sponsor and had two employees honored this year, Rachel Sutton and Elisa Glover.

In July, Neely McLaughlin’s first grandchild arrived – a healthy baby boy named Jay.
