As we gear up for the holidays and prepare for tax season, our team has been hard at work. With new team members, firm outings, new babies, and some great conferences, a lot has happened this fall!

Conferences/Seminars/Events:
Alesia Husband and Elizabeth Mauch represented Blackman & Sloop by participating in a Curbside Consultation at the annual conference for the NC Center for Nonprofits on November 28, 2018. Conference attendees were able to sign up and speak with experienced consultants (Alesia and Elizabeth) for a free 25 minute consultation regarding any financial issues or questions they had.
Volunteerism/Community Events
On November 15, 2018, we had our annual Thanksgiving Potluck and CPA Day of Service. The Blackman & Sloop team volunteered at Carolina Tiger Rescue (assisted with projects such as clearing vines and brush from enclosures, building or dismantling fences, digging trenches for drainage, and other light construction tasks.)
We also had a group at Orange Congregations In Mission (OCIM) of Hillsborough that worked on organizing donations for the thrift shop.
