Fall is in the air, but we are still reminiscing about the amazing summer we had! The firm was able to take some breaks and enjoy summer by traveling, recharging, and spending time with our families and friends. Whether we took vacations or decided on staycations, we made the most of the summer months!

Where We’ve Been
We just wrapped up another successful college recruiting season! We attended UNC-Greensboro’s Meet the Firms event on August 23 and North Carolina State University’s Meet The Firms event on August 31. Thanks to both for hosting such fun events!
On September 9, ten members of the Blackman & Sloop team attended Business North Carolina’s “Best Employers in North Carolina” Awards Gala in Greensboro, NC. The Best Employers in North Carolina is a survey and awards program dedicated to identifying and recognizing the area’s best employers and providing organizations with valuable employee feedback. Employees and their employers are polled on dozens of topics, from recruiting practices to recognition programs. 2021 marked the third consecutive year that Blackman & Sloop was selected to the list, coming in at # 3.
On August 19, a group from Blackman & Sloop volunteered with The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Public School Foundation, spending the morning sorting school supplies and stuffing bags for public school teachers.
Office Happenings
On September 23, we kicked off our Diversity and Inclusion Lunch Bunch. The series allows team members to have lunch together while discussing a podcast, blog, or book that covers topics in equity, diversity and inclusion.
