Blackman & Sloop is excited to announce that the firm is hosting a donation drive for Dress for Success! The event is in honor of the North Carolina Association of CPA’s 100 Days of Service.
What is the NCACPA 100 Days of Service?
The North Carolina Association of CPAs (NCACPA) has existed since 1919. In recognition of the organization’s 100th anniversary, they are a calling for 100 days of community service, lasting from August 30 to December 8. For more information, visit ncacpa.org.
Dress for Success Clothing Drive
Blackman & Sloop, CPAs, P.A., is partnering with Dress for Success Triangle to empower women to achieve economic independence one job at a time. We will be hosting a clothing and accessory drive to provide Dress for Success clients with gently used or new shoes, handbags and scarves to accessorize their interview suits and dresses. Thank you for your support of women in the Triangle and this great organization.

Please consider the following when donating:
Many Dress for Success clients go directly to an interview, so please ensure that all items donated are freshly dry-cleaned or laundered and ironed on hangers (if possible), and not more than 5 years old.
What to donate:
- Interview-appropriate suits & blouses
- Professional blouses, slacks, skirts, dresses, blazers and jackets
- Work-appropriate shoes
- Jewelry (in Ziploc bags) and scarves
- Handbags (briefcases, portfolios or work-appropriate handbag)
- Travel size toiletries
Dress for Success’s greatest needs are clothing sizes 16 and above and shoes size 9 and above.
Blackman & Sloop can provide tax receipts for your donations.
