Our Summer Leadership Conference is a great opportunity for students to share ideas/experiences as it relates to leadership, learn about the accounting profession and what public accounting is like, and learn more about our firm.

Blackman & Sloop Summer Leadership Conference Details

Program Description:
Two-day program for select college students interested in pursuing a career in accounting. Students who attend will get to know Blackman & Sloop via networking events, educational presentations, and collaborative discussions.

When and Where:
May 20-21, 2024
Blackman & Sloop office in Chapel Hill, NC

Agenda:
Team-building activities, Q & A sessions, and presentations by our staff. We will also participate in an in-house service project and a social outing.

Eligibility:
Standing Sophomores and beyond that are interested in a career in accounting. Community college and technical school students are encouraged to apply.

We are accepting applications until March 22, 2024. Applicants will be notified of acceptance in early April.

The Blackman & Sloop internship program provides accounting students with practical, on-the-job experience, as well as an opportunity to assess their interest in a career path with our firm. Our comprehensive and unique internship program is designed to channel students into a pool of candidates for full-time career opportunities with Blackman & Sloop by offering students the chance to rotate through our three service areas: audit, tax, and business advisory.
