What month and year did you join Blackman & Sloop?I joined Blackman & Sloop in May 2022 as an intern and came on full-time in September 2022 as a Business Advisory Associate.
Where did you go to college?
I received my Bachelors of Science in Accounting from UNC Charlotte in May 2021, and I received my Masters of Science in Accounting from UNC Greensboro in August 2022.
Why did you choose Blackman & Sloop?
I chose Blackman & Sloop because I really liked the people I worked with during my internship. They treat you as if you are already an employee and not an intern. There are lots of opportunities to grow and learn and that is important to me as I am starting out in my career.
What do you enjoy most about living in The Triangle?
What I love most about living in the Triangle is having a variety of things to do! I enjoy going to the park, out to eat, and Hurricanes Games.
Which of Blackman & Sloop’s 31 Fundamentals resonates the most with you and why?
The fundamental that resonated with me the most is Work Smart. I am always finding ways to work efficiently. I create a to-do list at the beginning of every week so I know what needs to be accomplished. This helps me stay organized and have a game plan for the week and each day.
